Pleasure As Medicine
Ancient Sexual Practices for Modern Women
A guided journey through Tantra, Taoism, and the sacred sexual wisdom every woman was always meant to know, written by Dr. Willow Brown, Doctor of Chinese Medicine and Taoist Sexologist.
The Goddess in you has been waiting. She is not waiting anymore.
Who This Book Is For
Do you know something is stirring inside you, even if you can't quite name it? A hunger for more aliveness, more pleasure, more power, even as the world keeps telling you to be smaller, quieter, more grateful for what you already have?
Have you spent years putting everyone else first, and somewhere along the way, lost the thread back to yourself? Does your body feel more like a stranger than the sacred home it was always meant to be?
Have you carried shame around your sexuality and your desires for so long that you can no longer tell where the shame ends and you begin?
If any of this is true for you, I wrote this book for you. It carries every truth I wish someone had handed me sooner.

This may not be the right book for you, though, if:
- You'd rather place the power for your healing outside of yourself
- You're looking for a quick fix that asks nothing of you emotionally, spiritually, or physically
- You're still committed to the story that your body and your desires are shameful
And that's genuinely okay. The Goddess doesn't rush anyone. She simply holds the door open, and waits.
But if even one small ember in you is ready to be fanned into flame, this book is your invitation.
Real Women. Real Transformation. . .
"I am not the same person I was five months ago. I am genuinely, unmistakably different, in my body, in my mind, in the way I move through my days. The first and last hour of my day now belongs to me. To my breath. To coming home to myself. This is transformation that actually lasts. I am living proof." ~ M.L.
"Since I started doing the work in this book, the shifts have been profound. Generational traumas I had carried my whole life began to clear. I reconnected with my femininity and my sensuality in ways I did not know were still available to me. What surprised me most was how it changed the way I show up with the men in my life. I found a confidence I had never had before." ~ A.B.
My Promise to You
I know exactly where you are right now. Exhausted from performing a version of yourself that was never really you. You've read the books, done the meditations, tried to think your way into wholeness. And still, something essential has stayed just out of reach.
That's not your failure. That's simply what happens when we try to heal the body through the mind alone.
This book takes a different path entirely. By the time you turn the final page, you'll understand how to awaken the Divine Feminine energy that's been dormant inside you, not as a concept, but as a living, felt experience in your own body. You'll be introduced to Tantra and Taoism not as distant philosophies, but as practical, embodied medicine you can use every day. You'll know how to create sacred space in your own home and your own nervous system. And you'll have real tools for embodying your sexuality as the sacred life force it truly is.
As I write in the book itself: pleasure is not the reward for doing the work. Pleasure is the work.
This isn't a book you read once and shelve. It's a book you return to as you expand, and as each layer of the old self falls away.

What's Inside "Pleasure As Medicine":
Chapter 1: Awakening the Divine Feminine
Why your body stopped feeling like home, and the first practice for finally coming back to it.
Chapter 2: The Ancient Map
What Tantra and Taoism actually are, beyond the Western wellness clichés, and why they succeed where talk therapy alone cannot.
Chapter 3: Sacred Space
The lost art of self-cultivation, and how a few deliberate rituals can teach your nervous system it's finally safe to open.
Chapter 4: The Erotic as Sacred
The shame you're carrying was likely never yours to begin with. Here's how to release it, and reclaim pleasure as the medicine it was always meant to be.
Chapter 5: Sex Magic & Co-Creation
How to use your own pleasure as a genuine creative force, and a practice for turning arousal into intention.
Chapter 6: The Sisterhood
Why this work was never meant to be done alone, and where to find the community that's been waiting for you.
Each chapter includes a guided practice you can begin using immediately, not just theory, embodied medicine.

Get to Know Me
I'm Dr. Willow Brown, a Doctor of Chinese Medicine, a Taoist Sexologist, co-host of the Sex Reimagined podcast, creator of Living Sexology, and founder of the Women's Empowerment Circle.
I've spent the better part of three decades inside the exact territory this book maps, not because it sounded interesting, but because life brought me to my knees and refused to let me back up until I'd learned what I'm now sharing with you.
In my doctoral research, I demonstrated that debilitating period pain, the kind millions of women are told simply to manage with medication, can be eliminated, not managed, through the combined power of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, cranio-sacral therapy, nutrition, and Taoist sexual practices. In separate work, I helped a woman conceive after multiple doctors told her it wasn't possible without IVF.
These aren't anomalies. They're what becomes possible when we stop treating the body as a problem to manage, and start honoring it as the intelligent, self-healing organism it was always designed to be.
Pleasure As Medicine is everything I've studied, researched, practiced, and lived, given to you in full. I've never believed in holding back the medicine when someone is ready to receive it.
You deserve the life waiting on the other side of this work. The pleasure. The vitality. The love. The creative power. The unapologetic aliveness of a woman who knows exactly who she is.
